Call for Submissions

The Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) and Intelligent Transportation Systems Society of Canada (ITS Canada) are soliciting abstracts to be considered for presentation and poster sessions at the 2019 TAC-ITS Canada Joint Conference & Exhibition in Halifax, NS, September 22 to 25.

The abstract must be submitted for a session in one of the topics listed below:

  • SMART CITIES AND BIG DATA
  • RURAL ITS
  • CONNECTED AND AUTOMATED VEHICLES
  • OPERATIONS
  • PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND NEW MOBILITY
  • ROAD DESIGN
  • PLANNING, ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE
  • CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE AND ASSET MANAGEMENT
  • ROAD SAFETY
  • MATERIALS, PAVEMENTS AND STRUCTURES

Before submitting an abstract, potential authors and presenters should refer to the Call for Submissions Prospectus which contains abstract requirements and a detailed list of all presentation and poster sessions. Note that the sessions integrate subject matter of interest to both TAC and ITS Canada.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS PROSPECTUS

 

STEP 1: Submit a 200-400 word abstract for review by one of TAC or ITS Canada’s Council and Committee members.

STEP 2: If the abstract is accepted, you will be required to submit a presentation, paper and/or poster as appropriate to be reviewed by one of TAC or ITS Canada’s Council and Committee members. 

STEP 3: If your presentation, paper and/or poster is accepted, you are expected to attend and present at the conference in September 2019.

  • Abstracts must be submitted through the Joint Conference online abstract portal. First-time users must create an account to submit an abstract. Authors who have an existing account should use that account.
  • All correspondence and notifications will be emailed to the user who submitted the abstract.
  • Abstracts are not considered to be submitted until you receive an email confirmation.
  • Authors not adhering to deadlines may be disqualified.
  • Submissions require confirmation that approval from employers and/or clients has been received.
  • By submitting an abstract, you are agreeing to grant TAC and ITS Canada the permission to publish and distribute submissions.
